Minnie Lee was born to John Randolph and Fannie Lee Bennett Walling on Sept. 14, 1905 in Elkhart, Anderson County Texas.
She had one brother when she was born, Charles Levi born 1903.
She was the granddaughter of the late Levi and Emma Conaway
Bennett of Elkhart, Texas. Also the granddaghter of Charlie and Callie Ferrell Walling of Grapeland, Houston County, Texas.
She was the G-Granddaughter of Miles and Laura Jordan Bennett, who settled in Anderson County, Texas in 1835.
Also G-Granddaughter of A. Elisha and Amanda Williams Walling who settled in Houston County Texas in 1835.
She married Parks Burke Dec 25, 1924. They lived around the Redtown Community, later moving to Hill Co,
and later to Houston, Texas.
There children were;
1. Horace Reagan
2. Dorothy Wayne b. Aug. 5, 1928 d. April 17, 1929 (died from Diphtheria when she was 8 mos. old)
3. Billie Sue
4. Johnny Parks
(They also raised a niece of Minnie Lee, after the death of her sister Christine Franklin.)
5. Earnestine Franklin
She lived a long life and had many grandchildren and g-grandchildren.
She was very much loved by her children, grandchildren and her Walling family. She lived one day less than 92 years.

Tuesday at Pilgrim Cemetery
with the Rev. Michael Havens
officiating. Arrangements are
under the direction of Bailey &
Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs Burke died Saturday at
Columbia North Hospital in
Houston.
She was born in Anderson
County on Sept. 14, 1905, to John
F. and Fannie Bennett Walling.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Parks Burke.
She is survived by daughters,
Billie "B" Smith of Houston and
Earnestine Collier of Charlotte,
S.C.; sons, Horace R. Burke of
Bryan and Johnny Burke of
Houston; brother Cliff Walling of
Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; and
14 great-children.
