Graveside service for Betty Jo James, age 84 of Geary, Oklahoma, will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, in the Ninnekah Cemetery. Gerald Knutson will officiate.

Betty Jo was born the daughter of William Monroe Malone and Georgia Mae Garrison Malone on June 21, 1925, in Comanche, Oklahoma. She died on July 27, 2009, in Hydro, Oklahoma.

Betty Jo grew up in Comanche and moved to Chickasha as a teenager. She met Cleo J. James whom she married in 1942. They made their home in the Ninnekah and Chickasha area. After her training to be a nurses aide, she worked as a certified nurses aide and did private duty care. She was a member of the Re-organized Latter Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her husband, and two sons. Survivors include: Daughter: Bobby Gooden and husband Gene of Geary, Daughter: Debra Choat and husband Phillip of Geary, Brother: Lester Malone and wife Wanda of Choctaw, Grandchildren: LaDonna, Diamond, Frank, Kimberly, Deborah, Jamie, Shane and Tina, Numerous Great Grandchildren, Two Great Great Grandchildren, Numerous Other Family.

Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. Published in The Chickasha Express Star from 7/28/2009 - 7/30/2009
