Loyde D. McCamey was born 27 Aug 1896 to John Doniphan McCamey 1871-1933 & Leaoda May (Smalley) McCamey 1878-1952. His siblings were: Isaac Drua "Slick" McCamey 1898-1943; Vernie Arthur McCamey 1906-1914. He married Pearl Marie Arnett 1900-1991 on 21 Nov 1917 in Logan County, OK. To this marriage was born: Cleo Doreen McCamey 1920-2000; Twila Marie McCamey 1921-1923; Johnnie Arthur McCamey 1924-1946. Loyde & Pearl owned a gas station & also a Lunch Room Cafe in Coyle. In the mid 1920s they moved to Oklahoma City where he worked for the Gibson Company as a traveling salesman. In the 1940s they obtained custody of their 2 small grandddaughters, and later their 2 grandsons. They grew up in their home. After his retirement, in 1956 Loyde & Pearl moved back to Coyle, OK. On 11 Jan 1964, Loyde passed away while in the hospital in Guthrie, Logan County, OK
