James Leon Dearman Of Baxterville Dies
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the family home in Baxterville for James Leon Dearman, 77, who died after several weeks of illness. The services were conducted by Rev. H. L. Fewell, pastor of the Baxterville Baptist church, and interment followed in the Baxterville cemetery.
Mr. Dearman was a farmer, a native of Lamar county and resided in the Baxterville community all his life. He was a brother of the late Senator Wylie W. Dearman.
He is survived by his wife, Lena Rayborn Dearman, five sons, Willie Dearman of Lumberton, James Dearman of Baxterville, Ottis Dearman of Gulfport, Odis Dearman of New Orleans, La., and Lloyd Dearman, also of New Orleans; six daughters, Mrs. Luther Winstead of Bogalusa, La., Mrs. Mamie Lowe, Lumberton, RFD 2, Mrs. Arthur Lowe, Mrs. Ora Bilbo, and Mrs. Edwin Bolgiano, all of Baxterville, and Mrs. Ed Stewart of Picayune, three sisters, Mrs. Jasper Smith of Lumberton, Mrs. Ida Reid of Angie, La., and Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers of Nurania, La., and two brothers, Ed Dearman of Nurania, and John Dearman of Bogalusa, La. There are 32 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clayton Lowe, Arthur Lowe, Joe Dearman, Buck Debrow, Bob Shinn and Robert Rayborn.
