John Doerr, 94, died Wednesday morning at Cass City Hospital. The funeral services will be held at the Douglas Funeral Home Friday, 2 p.m. The Rev. Milton Gelatt will officiate.
Services Held for Long-time Resident
Funeral services for John Doerr, 94, Cass City area resident for nearly 90 years, were held Friday, Dec. 8, in the Douglas Funeral Home. Rev. Milton Gelatt officiated and burial was in Elkland Cemetery.
Mr. Doerr, in ill health for the past year, died in Cass City Hospital early Wednesday, Dec. 6.
Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Mary Doerr he was born in Bruce county, Ontario, Feb. 25, 1867.
He was married first to Annie E. Martin on Dec. 25, 1894. He later married Delia Martin and later May Jordan.
He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jane Martin of Cass City and Mrs. Mary Newton of Pontiac; six nephews and five nieces. Three brothers preceded him in death.
