Mrs. Mae Doerr, lifelong resident of this community, died early Saturday morning, January 19, at Stevens' Nursing Home where she had been a patient the past seventeen days. She had been in ill health the past three months.
Mrs. Doerr was born in Grant Township, Sanilac County, September 5, 1880, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh and Annie Watson Jordan
In November, 1926, she married John Doerr in Cass City. Following their marriage they lived on a farm in Elkland Township, later moving to Cass City, where she has made her home until her death.
She had been a member of the Methodist Church since childhood.
Surviving besides her husband, are five brothers, Mr. James Jordan, Mr. Samuel Jordan and Mr. William Jordan, all off Grant Township; Mr. John Jordan of Deford and Mr. Henry Jordan of Elkland Township, and one sister, Miss Carrie Jordan of Grant Township.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Methodist Church. The Rev. Floyd W. Porter officiated and burial was in the family plot in Elkland cemetery.
