Death of Mrs. Martha F. O'Quinn
Milledgeville Recorder, June 13th.
Mrs. Martha F. O'Quinn died at her home in East Baldwin last Wednesday morning, about seven o'clock, after an illness of two weeks. Her remains were laid to rest Thursday afternoon in the old family burying ground in Washington County, Rev. A.S. Avant officiating at the burial service.
Mrs. O'Quinn was in her sixty-ninth year. She leaves six children, Mrs. H.P. McAfee, Mrs. J.T. Hancock, Mrs. J.W. Russell, Mrs. C.W. Horton, and Messrs. J.B. and J.W. O'Quinn, and two brothers, Messrs. Thomas and J.A. Prosser.
She has been a sufferer with rheumatism for many years, and yet through it all she has borne up with christian fortitude. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church.
She was a true christian woman, and her life has been one devoted to the happiness and interest of others. She has fought the good fight and kept the faith, and has received her crown of everlasting life in the home made for the pure and good.
