Benjamin F Helmly, 78, died Sunday
at Greenville Memorial Medical Center
in Greenville, B.C., after a short illness,
He was born In Efflngham County and
was a member of St. Johns Lutheran
Church. He was retired from Levy's Department
Store as a controller. He waa a
member of Georgia Saliburgers Society,
a shriner with the Alee Shrine Temple
and a U.S. Army veteran of World war
II.
Surviving are his wife, Winifred P
Helmly of Savannah; three sisters, Mrs.
Clyde Walcher and Louise Newklrk, both
of Rincon, and Mrs. Frances Gnann of
Springfield; and a number of nieces and
nephews.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at St.
Johns Lutheran Church in Rincon, burial
in Rincon Cemetery.
