Harold P. Tully, 93, former area resident
ROCHESTER, Minn. - Harold P. Tully, 93, of Rochester, Minn., a former area resident, died Saturday morning, Jan. 4, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
He was born in Pulaski County on Feb. 3, 1909, to Peter and Rebecca Johns Tully. He married Edna Jennie Gerbens in Delphi on April 17, 1938. She survives.
He attended Buffalo School and Francesville High School.
He was a lifelong dairy, grain and livestock farmer, and farmed for many years west of Oakdale Dam in Carroll County.
He moved to the rural Rochester, Minn. area in 1967 and moved into Rochester in 1971.
He worked for Whiting's Flowers, Greenhouses and Nursery for several years and briefly at the former Craft Village at the Miracle Mile Shopping Center.
He was a 4-H member and involved with the wildlife and soil conservation groups in Indiana and Minnesota. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Other survivors include a daughter, Twillie K. Tully of Rochester, Minn.; a son, Harold P. (Luella) Tully Jr. of Reynolds; and three grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today and 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the Vine Funeral Home, Rochester, Minn. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bruce Buller officiating.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, Minn.
Memorials may be made to cancer research at the Mayo Clinic.
