Mrs. Lige Hankins Expires on Sunday
Mrs Mary E Hankins, age, wife of Lige Hankins, passed away at the family home, 721 West Second St, at 12:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon. She had been ill two weeks.
Mrs Hankins was born in Franklin County, August 18, 1877, the daughter of James and Sarah Dinkins. She had been a resident of Rushville for many years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Royal Neighbors and Pocahontas lodges.
Survivors are the husband; six daughters, Mrs Mable Goodpasture and Miss Gladys Hankins, at home, Mrs Jessie Miller of Indianapolis, Mrs Emma Laughin of Anderson, and Mrs Elsie Glover and Mrs Ruth McDaniels of Rushville; two sisters, Mrs May Umbenhower and Mrs Zora Robinson of Indianapolis; three brothers, William Dinkins of Richmond, Amon Dinkins of Anderson, and James Dinkins of Indianapolis; and nine grand-children.
Funeral services will be held a the First Presbyterian church at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the Rev Gibson Wilson, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in Hopewell cemetery, near Andersonville. Friends may call at the late residents after 4 pm today.
