She was married December 20, 1840, to George Cross and to them were born three children, Mary J., Andrew Jackson and Martha. The son died at Clarinda, Iowa, about 35 years ago. The two daughters are still living and each with all their children were with their mother on her birthday last fall. Mrs. Cross moved to Wisconsin where she lost her husband 75 years ago leaving her with a babe of only two weeks. She made her home with her parents until their death and then with her brother, Wm. brinegar, until the marriage of her daughter, Mary, to J.S. Roberts in November, 1865. This has been her home since and a faithful mother been. Her other daughter, Mrs. Martha McDaniels, and her three children, Mrs. Myrtle Camerer, Mrs. Lela Russell and Wm.
