Della Mae Jarrett was born, 06 July 1909, in Jacobs Fork, Catawba County, North Carolina. She is the daughter of George Thomas Jarrett and Bessie Celia Scronce Jarrett. Della married Russell Claude "Joe" Leatherman. Della died, 13 March 1968, at Richard Baker Hospital, in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolna and is buried in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina.
