Thecla "Tec" Richardson, 85, of Houston, passed away on Friday afternoon at West Houston Medical Center in Houston. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to the Port Arthur/Groves area in 1946, where she lived until a few years ago to be closer to her family. She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Don Golasinski on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland under the direction of Clayton Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cheslie E. Richardson.
She is survived by her children; daughter, Mary and her husband , Kenneth Harvey of Pearland, TX; daughter, Martha and her husband, Roger Conant of Pinole, CA; daughter, Helen and her husband, Steve Gilin of Cypress, TX; son, Michael and his wife, Marilyn Richardson of Katy, TX; son, Paul and his wife, Sherri Richardson of Katy, TX; son, Charles and his wife, Darla Richardson of Houston, TX; son, David and his wife, Kathy Richardson of Houston, TX; son, Stanley and his wife, Sandy Richardson of Seattle, WA. Her ten grandchildren, Charlene Allen, Charles Richardson, Jr., Adam Vance, Brandon Vance, Hannah Putnam, Caleb Richardson, Jesse Richardson, Dennis Conant, Luke Gilin and Jeremy Gilin and her three great grandchildren, Lily, Timothy and Trinity.
