ROY HULL
Roy Dale Hull, son of Henry and Margaret Hull, was born May 12, 1887, in Monroe county, Ia., and passed away July 10, 1963 at the Lucas County Memorial hospital, at the age of 76 years, one month and 28 days, following a two-week illness.
He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Monical, Feb. 17, 1910, and to this union a daughter, Wilda, was born Oct. 26, 1916. She preceded her parents in death in August of 1938. His wife passed away April 1, 1948 at Russell after a long illness.
After a short time he moved to Chariton, where he worked at carpentry and painting. He was united in marriage to Fay Tacker Widener, Oct. 17, 1952.
His wife, a step-daughter and her husband survive him. Also surviving are three brothers: Arthur of Chariton; Clarence of Russell; and Leonard of Huron, S.D., and six sisters-in-law. Besides his first wife and daughter, he was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers.
He was a kind and devoted husband and brother. His friends are numbered by his acquaintances. All through his illness he was a cheerful and never complaining patient.
Funeral services were conducted at the Miley Chapel, Friday, July 12, 1963, at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Bauserman officiating. Interment was in the Russell cemetery.
