Kestler, Erma Emily, 88, passed way peacefully in Ovieda, FL on August 6, 2009 with her family present. Mrs. Kestler was born in Lincoln, NE on February 27, 1921 and raised in Hazard, NE by her parents James and Alven Alemis (Peterson) Erazim. Erma lived in Wichita most of her life and worked at the First National Bank Downtown(currently Intrust) and retired from there. She has many friends and loved her social circle and family. She enjoyed playing cards, marbles and loved to square dance. Erma was very generous in giving to charities as well. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jame R. and Virginia Kestler; one grandson, Jamie R. Kestler, all of Florida; a sister, Helen Nelson of Nebraska. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 with family present from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of her life will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 all at Old Mission Mortuary. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Erma's wishes would be to donate to a charity of your choice or the Wichita Humane Society.
