MISS BELLE MIKELL PASSES
Funeral services were held for Miss Belle Mikell at Silver Creek, conducted by the Rev. A. B. Lowrey, her pastor. Miss Mikell was 84 years of age and lived all her life in Lawrence county where the family is prominent. She was the daughter of the late J. J. Mikell, one of the pioneers of this section. Miss Mikell suffered a stroke of paralysis and was sick about a week. She died at the home of Mrs. Josie Mikell with whom she lived. She was an aunt of Mrs. Van Brady, Prentiss; Mrs. Lee Hutchins, New Hebron; J. E. Mikell, George Mikell, Charles Mikell, Prentiss; and of Ben Mikell of the Delta.
