A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Erath, she died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center. She was 78. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday Oct. 10, was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Thomas C. Ranzino, celebrant. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Al Sherman LeBlanc; two daughters and a son-in-law, Betty and Eddie Wright, and Gayle LeBlanc, all of Baton Rouge; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Tonya LeBlanc and Scott and Shaun LeBlanc, all of Baton Rouge; sister, Isabelle Richard, of Lafayette; brother, Leo Geoffroy, of Erath; special niece, Catherine Cockerham, of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Leopold and Lucille Frederick Geoffroy; three sisters, Nella Romero, Sophie Lee and Ouida Stelly; and brother, J.P. Geoffroy. Pallbearers will be Eddie Wright IV, Chris Wright, Stanley Ellis, Raymond Smith, Frank Williams and Mason Columbia. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
