Mr. Icenogle was retired from employment with the General Electric in Shelbyville.
He was born in Rush County Aug. 10, 1918, the son of Oscar R. and Jessie Lee Icenogle. He was a member of the Moscow Christian Church, the VFW, and the American Legion, having served in the army in World War II. He had lived in Rush County his entire life.
He is survived by his widow, Netie F. Flannery Icenogle, whom he married July 12, 1946; three sons: Gerald Icenogle, Shelbyville, Thomas Icenogle, Milroy and Dean Icenogle, R.R.4, Rushville; two daughters: Mrs. James (Wanda) Long, Shelbyville and Mrs. Gilbert (Debra) Rose, R.R.2, Laurel; two brothers: Wilbur Icenogle, French Lick and Paul Icenogle, Shelbyville; two sisters: Mrs. H.J. (Ruth) Jaeggers, R.R.5, Rushville and Mrs. James (Felma) Beach, Phoenix, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
The services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Moster and Sons Mortuary in Rushville, with pastor James H. King officiating and with burial in the Moscow Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
