She was born in the Rockfish area of now Nelson county.Her father Richard Lee had aquired 110 acres of his first land purchase from Racheal Ayers near Wintergreen/Rockfish of Amerst Co.(now Nelson Co.) on 6/10/1791 and 94 more acres from John Hughes on 5/1/1800 in the same area.She has lived most of her youth in Nelson(under father Richard Lee),then Augusta(with husband William Gray Jr.),and finally Wood county W.Va...Additional note: There is a more than a high probability that her father Richard Lee is buried in "Diamond Hill" cemetery on the edge of the Winter Green resort area.
