3rd. married William Blue 16 Nov 1857. He died 1863

Born in Caney Creek, Fentress County, Tennessee. She and husband William Ragan came to the Warm Fork, Oregon County, Missouri area abt 1830-39, where she resided the rest of her years until her death. This area is near Mammoth Spring, Fulton County, Arkansas and the present day town of Thayer in Oregon County, Missouri. They thought they were in Arkansas only to find out years later that they were actually in Missouri. She resided in this area all her adult years until her death in 1904. A historical account of her life was written by a great granddaughter and published in the Oregon County Times years after her death. This article was based mainly on letters written by Matilda and some knowledge on the authors part about Matilda's life.
