OBITUARY PRINTED IN DAILY HERALD ON 11/1/1968:

"Mrs. Fred T. Rea"

"Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Rea, 74, of 1012 39th Ave., Gulfport, died at 12:25 a.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Where she had been a patient six weeks. Mr. Rea died April 26, 1962. A resident of Gulfport for 57 years, Mrs. Rea was born Fen. 8, 1894, in Biloxi, the daughter of the late Jerome and Mrs. Matilda Creel Ryan. She attended Biloxi city schools. Mrs. Rea was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport, St. John's Altar Society and Elks Ladies Auxiliary. She was an honorary member of the Gulfport Women's Club. A daughter, Mrs. Emile (Lucille) Gauthe, tree grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive. A prayer service will be conducted Saturday morning at 9:45 o'clock from Lang Funeral Home chapel in Gulfport. A Requiem Mass with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Michael Campbell celebrant, will follow at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will be in old Biloxi Cemetery. Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:30 o'clock by the Rev. Clement Kovacsik at Lang Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 to 9 o'clock tonight."
