Stanley Henry "Stan" Lapinski, age 80, of Lexington, N.C., passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at his home. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Inurnment at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
He was a retired PGA Golf teaching professional and was a former resident of Inverness, FL, Naples, FL, and Las Vegas, NV.

Stanley Henry "Stan" Lapinski, age 80, beloved husband and father of Gray Road, Lexington, NC passed away Monday (8-3-2009) at his home after a brief illness. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Gaynell, their family and his many friends all over the country. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (8-12-2009) at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Father Al Gondek officiating. Inurnment at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.



Stan was born in Allegheny County, PA, July 29, 1929 to Anthony Lapinski and Stella Skindzier Lapinski. He worked with AT &T for 30 years and was a retired PGA Golf Teaching Professional for over 26 years in Florida and Las Vegas. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and a veteran of the US Army having served in world War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Stanley James Lapinski who died in the line of Duty in Iraq June of 2005.
Surviving are; wife Gaynell "Gaye" Davison Lapinski of the home, a daughter Christina Duvall and husband George of Denver, NC; a son, Russell Lapinski and wife Katie of Danbury, NC; grandchildren, Lily and Mia Duvall and Jesse and Zach Lapinski; four great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal visitation.
