J. Nolan Mattingly, 67, died Saturday at Norton Hospital. He was a native of Raywood, a retired pharmaceutical salesman for the Ames Co., and a member of Knights of Columbus Bishop Spalding Council and Kentucky Square Dance Club. Survivors: his wife, the former Dorothy Comstock; two sons, David Mattingly of Decatur, Ala., and Dr. Mark Mattingly of St. Louis; a daughter, Helen Mattingly; two sisters, Juliana Mudd and Margaret Sullivan; and two grandchildren. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, Bardstown Road and Lancashire Avenue, with entombment in Resthaven Mausoleum. Visitation at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, from noon to 3 and 5 to 9 p.m. Monday. Expressions of sympathy: James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
