Edward J. (Eddie) Gering, 77, of 2214 Weber Ave., died at 2 a.m. Monday [October 20, 1975] at St. Anthony Hospital. He had been retired 12 years after 40 years as a driver for the Cherokee Milk Co. Survivors include his wife, the former Sue Allgeier. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1960 Bardstown Road, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
