COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 11/06/1962
Albert G. Gering, 71, died at 4 a.m. Monday [November 5, 1962] at his home at 169 St. Matthews Avenue. He was a native of Louisville and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Gering worked in the machine shop at Louisville & Nashville Railroad for 44 years before retiring five years ago. Survivors include his wife, the former Elsie Gresosky; two sons, Clifford J. & Paul G. Gering; two daughters, Mrs. Mary L. Bristow and Mrs. Thelma Powell, Crestwood; a brother, Arthur Gering; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Snyder and Mrs. Frances Mehr, and six grandchildren. The body is at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Gering is at Ratterman’s, 3711 Lexington Rd. Funeral from Holy Trinity Church, Wednesday at 9 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Holy Name Society.
