BOYHOOD FRIENDS TO

BE PALLBEARERS FOR

BOYLES FUNERAL.

The body of Pvt Alford J.

Boyles; only 18 when killed in

Italy, July 12, 1945 and buried

first in a cemetery 14 miles east

of Lake Horn, Italy, will be laid

in its final resting place Wednesday

afternoon.

The funeral will held from

the Fitzhugh Baptist Church

with burial in Memorial Park,

Ada.

Pall bearers will be boyhood

friends, all of them ex-service

men.

Boyles lettered in basketball

for two years, playing guard on

the Fitzhugh High team.

He was in his Senior year and

was 18 when he entered service

Aug 12, 1944 at Oklahoma City;

He was trained at Camp Adair

Ore, for about six months and

went over seas. He first went to

Africa then to Italy.

He was trained with the 70th

Division, and was transferred to

the 01st Division before going

across.

Surviving are the parents Mr

and Mrs Hughey Boyles, Fitzhugh,;

two brothers, Howard C

Boyles, Pearl Harbor and Le-

Roy Boyles, Fitzhugh; grandparents,

Mr and Mrs W.F.Roberts, Hickory:

J.M Boyles, Pawhuska, and Mrs Laura

Parker, Buckeye Arizona.
