C. BERRY DIES IN OKLAHOMA

Charles Berry,
brother of Mrs. C. V. Derfelt and for a number of years a citizen of Galena, died yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at his home in Miami of diabetes. Mr. Berry was about 41 years of age and had been a resident of Galena about fifteen years previous to five years ago.

After leaving Galena he spent about four years at Chitwood and from there went to Miami. For some time the condition of his health was such that death was expected at any time. Saturday evening he grew worse and his brother-in-law, City Marshal Derfelt. was called to his bedside. Mrs. Derfelt was with him at the time he died.

The body was brought to Galena this morning and the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, at 2 o'clock at the home of City Marshal Derfelt in East Galena. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. J. S. Umberger and burial will be in Galena cemetery.
