Funeral services for Ed C. Hunt, 69 year old Chandler man who dropped dead Thursday morning in the office of Dr. J.F. Baugh at Chandler, were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the First Baptist Church in that town. Interment was in the Chandler cemetery. Rev. J.L. Brantley conducted the services.
Mr. Hunt, a resident of Chandler for more than half a century, expired in the physician's office at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning after going there to consult with Dr. Baugh. His death came as a distinct shock to the members of the Hunt family.
Deceased was a native of Alabama, but had spent most of his life as a resident of this county. He was a Mason and a member of the Woodmen of the World.
He formerly was connected with the Blake, Cade, Smith Dry Goods Company of Chandler.
Survivors include one brother, Egbert Hunt of Dallas and one sister, Mrs. Adele Evans of Malakoff. Mrs. Ben Wathen of Athens is a niece of the deceased. Mr. and Mrs. Wathen and children went to Chandler to attend the funeral services.
