Came to the Eureka area in 1903, living in Gateway and homesteading in the Pinkham area where he resided when he died. He was married to Alta Kenney on Dec. 24, 1913. He was a packer for the US Forest Service and also operated a saw mill in the Eureka area.
He is survived by 7 sons: William W., Victor L., Sidney L., Charles A., Harry T., John A., and Roger J.; two daughters, Mrs. Ellagene Wolfe and Mrs. Lula G. Richmond; a brother Theodore; two sisters, Vivian Davis and Cora Neal; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were at the First Baptist Church in Eureka; Vial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
