WEYERS CAVE — Mrs. Edith Garber, 72, wife of the Rev. F. Y. Garber of Rt. 1, Waynesboro, died Friday night (Feb. 17, 1967) at King's Daughters' Hospital.

Mrs. Garber was the daughter of George A. and Mary (Brower) Phillips and was born in Hermitage. Mr. Garber is a Church of the Brethren minister.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Marvin L. Garber of Rt. 1, Waynesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Gardner of Arlington; a sister, Mrs. Byron Flory of Bridgewater, and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Garber was a member of Middle River Church of the Brethren and taught Sunday school there for over 40 years. She also was active in women's work at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Monday afternoon from the Middle River Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Fred Driver, the Rev. Paul Fike, and the Rev. Paul Coffman will conduct the services and burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.

The body is at the Koontz and Lindsey Funeral Chapel at Weyers Cave but will be taken to the home of her sister-in-law, Miss Florence Garber, near New Hope, at 4:30 this afternoon. The body will be moved to the church an hour prior to the services and relatives will meet at the home of Miss Garber at 3:05 Monday for a brief service prior to leaving for the church.

The Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Board of Deacons of the Middle River Church of the Brethren will serve as honorary attendants.
