Reverend Roscoe Cole Miller Sr. was born in Kentucky to Mary Elizabeth Miller and Lewis Taylor Miller. He was the minister of East Sedalia Baptist Church, in Sedalia, Missouri, and a pillar of the Baptist Community through out his lifetime.
He married Clarissa Hulett in 1896 and then after her death went on to marry Stella Jones in 1906. Reverend Miller had children Jessie Francis, Elizabeth Jane, Lee Clarissa, Hazel Vey, Ella Mae and then Stella Bell and Reverend Roscoe Cole Miller Jr. He died and was buried in Oklahoma.
