Mildred Aderman Zelle Haynes, 94, of Mt. Pulaski, IL died at 2:10 a.m. July 26, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.
Mrs. Haynes, who worked at Franklin Life Insurance Company for more than 20 years, retired as department head supervisor of the steno pool.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mt. Pulaski, IL. and Elks Lodge # 914.
She enjoyed traveling; visiting her many friends; sewing; and painting.
Mildred was raised on the Judge Harris Farm west of Mt. Pulaski, IL. She attended Buckles Grade School, Mt. Pulaski Township High School and Brown's Business College in Decatur, IL.
She was born May 30, 1915, in Lincoln, IL, to Theodore R. and Cleva Brashear Aderman. She married John B. Zelle on November 9, 1948. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1979.
She married Harold V. Haynes on April 7, 1984. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1985.
Survivors include one son, Donald L. (Barbara) Zelle of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Betty (Carl) Kopatz of Mt. Pulaski, IL; 2 grandchildren, Theodora Zelle and Nikki (Stephen) Lathroum, both of Brooklyn, NY; and a lifelong friend, Margaret Lanterman of Elkhart, IL.
Her parents and two husbands preceded her in death.
Mrs. Haynes' funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski, with the Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pulaski Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski, IL.
Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski.
