PORT REPUBLIC — Frenchie Arletta Saufley Rodeffer, 75, of Rt. 1, Port Republic, died at Rockingham Memorial Hospital Wednesday (Dec. 12, 1984). She had been admitted to the hospital earlier in the day.

She was born Aug. 28, 1909 at Timber Ridge, a daughter of Hunter H. and Lydia (Myers) Saufley.

She was a retired registered nurse and received her training at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Richmond. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, was a member of the women's fellowship.

On May 20, 1948, she married Theron Rodeffer, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Wayne S. Rodeffer of Rt. 1, Mt. Crawford; two granddaughters; one brother, Golan Saufley of Martinsburg, W.Va.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Friedens United Church of Christ by the Revs. Edward Rawls and Thomas Geiman.

Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery near Weyers Cave.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Long Funeral Home on Va. 276.
