Marvin Lalen Woodlock, 74, of Gatesville, Texas, passed away Friday, July 31, 2009, in Round Rock, Texas, after a very lengthy illness. There is no service scheduled at this time.
Lalen was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Marvin Baker Woodlock and Sallie (Shanks) Woodlock. Lalen attended Dallas schools and North Texas University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1959. He retired from the Dallas post office after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alan; and a sister, Joyce.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Griffen; three grandchildren; sister, Sue Evans and her husband, Sammy; and other relatives and many friends.
