She was born on May 4, 1929, in Reform to Charles Major and Luda Jones Major. She was an instructor of cosmetology and beauty operator for many years in Pine Bluff. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in White Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Rowe; two sisters, Willie Thweatt and Glenda Haywood and two brothers, Edison Major and Don Major.
Funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Harper officiating.
