Klaas Janssen Bokker was born February 5, 1867 in Uttum, Ostfriesland, Germany. Klaas immigrated to the United States in 1882 from Germany arriving Baltimore, Maryland from Bremen, Germany March 03. He was naturalized in 1892 and could read and write both German and English.
Klaas married Annie Fry (Frey) 03 December 1894 in Ogle County, Illinois. His parents were Jann Geerds Klaassen Bokker and Dirkjen Dirks Hatterman.
Klaas and Annie lived in Ogle County, Illinois and owned two farms in Marshall County, South Dakota. They had the following children; Dora, Ida, Jennie, Harm, Sophia, Lena, Joe, Klaas, Anna, Martilda or Matilda.(bio added by grand niece aritha buss)
