Pvt., Sheridan Troop. Narnie N. (Updike) Dickson, spouse. Resided at 510 8th ave., Juniata. Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata. George Lowrie Dickson, 510 Eighth avenue, Juniata, died at 3 a.m. Sunday of complications. He was born in Tipton, February 22, 1875, a son of Samuel and Rachael (Ayers) Dickson. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Narnie (Updike) Dickson, one daughter, Mrs. Winifred Beals, at home; and two sisters: Mrs. George Noltie and Mrs. Robert Simpson, Altoona. He was a member of First Methodist church, Juniata; Alexander Lamberson Bible class, B. of R.T. No 174; and the P.R.R. Relief. He was employed as a brakeman by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. He served in the Spanish American war and saw service in the Philippines and Puerto Rico. He was a member of Sheridan troop, Tyrone. Military services will be held under auspices of the Spanish American war veterans. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Gordon Arch Williams in charge. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery.
