Mr. Bording was born in Kansas on Feb 10, 1877, and began his career with Western Pacific at the age of thirty years. Prior to coming to Winnemucca he was employed with the railroad out of Salt Lake City. He was transferred in 1918 as division lineman and was retired twenty years later.

He was active in Masonic circles, being a member of the Blue Lodge in Winnemucca and the Scottish Rite and Shrine Organizations in Reno. He also was deeply interested in civic affairs and once served on the hospital board.

He is survived by his widow, a son, William Bording of Walnut Creek, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. E. E. Olson of El Cerrito, Calif., and three grandchildren; Sandra Olson, Loma Bording and Brinka Bording. A sister, Mrs. Mary Way of Compton, Calif., also survives.

Mr. and Mrs. Bording lost a son, Leroy Boring during WWII, while surviving with the Army Air Forces. He was killed in an airplane accident in Florida."
