The death of John Spencer Woodworth occurred this Wednesday morning, March 19,1924 at the family home in Howell. The funeral will be held from the residence Friday at three o'clock.
John Spencer Woodworth was born in the state of Illinois December 21, 1849 and at the age of six years came with his parents to Michigan settling in the township of Unadilla where he grew to manhood. He was married October 16, 1878 to Mary M. Fields of Iosco. In the spring of 1903 he moved his family to Genoa township where he lived until the past few years when the family moved to Howell. To this union six children were born, Clark F. of Monroe, Chester R. of Detroit, Spencer J. of Philadelphia, Mrs. Lowell S. Grisson of Wacousta, Mrs. William H. Conine and Mrs. John T. Cook both of Howell.
