Mrs. Lundeen Dies; Funeral to be Sunday
Mrs. Myrtle Merea Lundeen, 64, a native of Urbana, died at 5:25pm Friday (Sept 11,1959) in the Hubert Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Sunday at Renner Funeral Home with Rev Robert E. Holmes, pastor of Urbana Grace Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9pm Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Charles Casazza, Austie Fryer, Paul A. Johnson, Paul A. Little, David B. Stayton and Robert G Johnson.
Mrs. Lundeen was born into Urbana Jan 24, 1895, daughter of David and Nellie Wise. She had lived in Urbana her entire life. She was the wife of Carl A Lundeen who died in 1953.
Mrs. Lundeen is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John Peacock, Anaheim Calif; Mrs. Ralph Bickel, Peoria; and Mrs. Elmer Cook, 907 S. Webber, Urbana; a son Irwin Thompson, 1806 Reinhold Urbana; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Beeson, 203 E. Water, Urbana Mrs. Irwin Chase, 1314 W. Columbia, and Mrs. honest Stormont, Springfield; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Urbana Grace Methodist Church and for the past 20 years a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 630 Auxiliary.
