Durrell Lehman Wright 67, of Pocahontas died October 17, 1989 at Mc Nairy County General Hospital after a long illness. Services were held at Shackleford Funeral Home with Marvin Rainey officiating.He was the son of the late Alvin Luther & Willie Lee Derryberry Wright. He served 21 combined in the Air Force where his rank was Capt. Wright and also in the Marines where he achieved the rank of Corporal Wright. He is survived by 2 brothers, Leslie of New Mexico & Niles of Alabama.
Also by four nephews, David Wright of Colorado, Daniel & Richard Wright of Albeq. NM, as well as Michael Wright of Gulfport Miss. He is also survived by a loving daughter Connie Penton Newsom and her husband Jeff as well as four grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren all of Texas.
