LeRoi C. Anderson, 78, former Duluthian died peacefully Feb. 3, 2007 surrounded by family. He was born May 27, 1928 in Superior, Wisc. Qualities of integrity, patient determination and hard-work were evident in his public, private and professional life. World War II vet served inthe U.S. Army Transport in Germany and Army Corp of Engineers in occupied Japan. Member of VFW Post 1782 and the Elks. Started in 1950 at entry level with Northern Pacific RR in Superior, Wisc. Retired from Burlington Northern RR in St. Paul as Asst to VP of Sales in 1984. Proudly helped establish the Duluth RR Credit Union. Served WBL as City Councilman. Enjoyed 22 years of retirement, July at cabin on Webb Lake, Mankato Street Poker Club, First-Sunday family dinners, bowling, golf, fishing, gardening, needlepoint, painting and reading. Preceded in death by infant son, Robert; parents, Marie ( Miller) and Carl W. both of Superior, Wisc. Survived by loving wife of 54 years, Lois (Hankins); brother, Donald (Vickie); sister, Marilyn (Arnold) Flagstad; children, Richard (Pam McIntire) of Atlanta, Barbara of Shoreview, LeRoi Charles 'Chuck' (Fiona) of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE:10 a.m. Friday in St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal Church, 2175 1st Street, White Bear Lake. Visitation Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. in The Johnson Peterson Funeral Home, 2130 2nd Street, White Bear Lake, 651-429-7661 and one hour prior to service in the church.
