Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Amandy Brooks were held at Fellowship Baptist Church, May 21 at 4:00 p.m. Rev. T. O. Proctor and Rev. Junior Oswalt officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home
Mrs. Brooks was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Idell Adams, Mrs. Modener Peacock and Mrs. Edna Meredith; three sons, Bernard Brooks, J. C. Brooks and Wilson Brooks; four stepsons. Herbert Brooks, Everett Brooks, Eslie Brooks and Oscar Brooks, a host of grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Oma Brooks and Mrs. Lilie Weeks.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Joe Peacock, Calvin Brooks, Randy Brooks, Mike Brooks, Ray Fondren and Paul Harpole.
