A coroners jury came to the verdict that he "came to his death by being hit by a Soutern Railway train on April 20, 1936." He operated a farm at Brown's Crossing near Landrum, SC, was 63 years of age, and was well know through out the community. He was survived by, three brothers, E. E. BROWN, J. L. BROWN, and J. C. BROWN all ofLandrum SC.
