Pleasureville, Ky., May 21. - [Special.] - Thomas C. Ireland, aged eightty-four years, died at his home here to-day after an illness of more than a year. Mr. Ireland was a veteran of two wars. He served with distinction in the Mexican War, and during the Civil War he served under Gen. Morgan, where his record was equally high.
Mr. Ireland was the youngest of four brothers, the others surviving him. He leaves three children, Mrs. E. B. Banta and Mrs. Pearl Bush, of this place, and Joe Ireland, of Louisville. Funeral services will be held to-morrow, and the interment will be in Pleasureville cemetery.
