The funeral of Cyrus M. Preston, whose death occurred suddenly Tuesday night at his Lexington Avenue home, will be held tomorrow. Mr. Preston was 73 years of age. Services will begin tomorrow morning at 10:30 at the residence, 1504 Lexington Avenue, with Rev. C. A. Slaughter in charge. Immediately after the service, the funeral party will leave for Paintsville and is scheduled to arrive at the Preston cemetery there at 2:30 p. m., where the services will be concluded and interment made.

Born at Paintsville November 14, 1857, Mr. Preston received his public school education there and entered Kentucky Wesleyan. He began his business career in his home town and early showed signs of a good career. From Paintsville her moved to Catlettsburg with his family and resided there four years before coming on to Ashland. Here he was associated with the Ashland Milling Company and later became postmaster. Six years ago he purchased a farm in Clark County and lived there until about a year ago when he returned to Ashland.

By his first wife, who was Miss Alice Price of Paintsville, Mr. Preston leaves Miss Ora M. Preston of Paintsville and Mrs. Frank C. Malin of Ashland.

His second wife, formerly Miss Minnie Hurt of Millersburg, survives him with three children, Roger Lee Preston of Ashland, Clarence Ray Preston of St. Louis, and Mrs. Carl Runge of Cincinnati. All will be present at the funeral.
