DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Norman John Almeter, 99 of Adams-Reeves Rd. Dearing, GA entered into rest July 30, 2009. He was the beloved husband of the late Veronica Almeter. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 3, 2009 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Bill Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Alleluia Community Cemetery. Mr. Almeter was born in Sheldon, New York and was the son of the late Jacob Almeter and the late Mary Schawb. He was retired as a dairy farmer. He was also a member of the Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Survivors include: Sons: Lawrence Almeter- Spencer Port, NY, David Almeter- Hilton, NY, James Almeter- Piffard, NY, Thomas Almeter- Dearing, GA, Joseph Almeter- Dearing, GA, Daniel Almeter- Augusta, GA; Daughters: Margaret Adams- Hilton, NY, Anne Reyner- Hilton, NY, Theresa Mance- Hilton, NY, Mary Pidel- Augusta, GA; Brothers: Charles Almeter-Florida, Clare Almeter- Almond, NY; Sisters: Theresa Cotter- Canisteo, NY; 42 grandchildren, 57 Great-Grandchildren The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30PM Sunday evening at the funeral home and the rosary will follow.
