ELIZA HALL RAPER
Eliza Hall Raper, nee McCance was born Oct. 8, 1861 at Toulon, Illinois to David and Mary Harrod McCance, and died at Pawnee City Aug. 25, 1954 at the age of 92 years, 10 months and 17 days. She was a member of the Christian church at Toulon and transferred her membership to the Chritian church at Pawnee City in 1886 when she moved here with her mother. On Sept. 18, 1889, in Lincoln, Nebr., she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Raper and to this union five children were born. Her husband and three children preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, Joseph of Pawnee City, Lena Anderson of Olean, N.Y.; three step-children, Charles of Seattle, Wash., Etta of Rockford, Ill., and Andrew of Lincoln, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
