CHARLES HERBERT SEEBER SR. was the son of Willis Seeber and Mrs. Ida Elizabeth (Brewer) Seeber.

He was the husband of Mrs. Anna Beatrice (Ballow) Seeber.

Obituary
"Services for Charles H. Seeber, 81, of Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, in Athens, with the Rev. Earl Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Mr. Seeber died after a sudden illness on Sunday in an Athens hospital. He was born August 21, 1905, in Marshall, and he lived in Athens for 16 years. Mr. Seeber was a newspaper printer who had associations with several newspapers include: The Athens Review, 1936-1939; the The Palestine Herald-Press, 1939-1941; Longview News-Journal, 1941-1954; The Dallas Times Herald, 1954-1970. He retired from The Dallas Times Herald in 1970. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Athens Mason Lodge #165 A.F.&A.M. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ann Ballow Seeber, of Athens; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles H. and Mary Seeber, of Midland, Michigan; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Vernon Cates, of DeSoto, Texas; one sister, Minnie Chaffin, of Dallas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Doug White, Buddy Leftwich, Tim Angus, Jerry Laney, David Kimbell, Niel Chamberlain, Harold Shaver and Bobby Kimbell. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Christian Workers Sunday School class of First United Methodist Church."
