PNEUMONIA FATAL TO MONETTE LADY – Mrs. Ivy L. Blankenship Buried Today
Mrs. Ivy L. Blankenship, 51, former Jonesboro resident, died of pneumonia Sunday morning at her home at Monette.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at Monette this afternoon at two o'clock. Burial was in Cane Island cemetery with Langford's mortuary in charge.
Mrs. Blankenship, formerly Ivy Newcom, was born and reared here.
Surviving are two sons, H.S. Blankenship of Blytheville, and Elbert Blankenship of Monette, two daughters, Mrs. Bess Bowman and Miss Betty Jean Blankenship both of Monette, two brothers, Everette Newcom of Hergett and Landrum Newcom of Lake City.
